Dear mama friends,
Few things are as joyful to me as the start of school. Maybe it’s throwing my organizational obsession into overdrive and allowing myself a time when I can purchase multiple three ring binders, reams of perfect white lined paper and coordinating post it notes (those are for me, not the kids). The start of school is always a joy because the sound of bus engines revvin’ up in the early morning dew reminds many of us that we are not in the trenches of summertime anymore and our children will be back in the rigorous school setting that allows us parents to breathe a little easier over that morning cup of Joe. With the kids back in the swing of the school year, this mom gets to school shop like the pro that I know I am and adorn my kiddos in new cute clothes that are sure to be destroyed by recess on the playground but make the first day of school picture – perfect! And before I am already over the PTO meetings and the Pinterest worthy moms that deliver Vegan, Non-GMO organic whole grain wheat mini muffins with organic stevia extract frosting for the class party, let me celebrate all the amazing items that I am Mom Crushin’ on currently for school. It’s bad folks- I’m crushin’ school so hard.
Wait, what? No one explained to you what Mom Crushin’ was? Let me help you out friend. The true definition of “mom crush” is finding something that you absolutely, positively cannot get through your precious mom life without. Remember the movie Titanic where Rose and Jack are hanging on to that random floating board in the water and she says “I’ll never let go Jack, never let go……”? Well, if these items were Jack, you would cling to these bad boys for dear life and go down with the ship before you let them out of your sight. Yeah, it’s that kind of love. It’s an item that you love more than – well, lots of others. A product that is your “ride or die”. A brand that feels like your best gal. It’s a product or service that you are so obsessed with because it made your life just that much easier, that you gush over it for weeks like a new teenage crush. It’s a Mom Crush.
Hit up my list of back to school essentials before the bell rings and you’re tardy! (I promise, you don’t want to miss these A+ items).
