This post is sponsored by PACT Organic on behalf of Moms Meet. I received product samples in exchange for a brand a product review. I only represent and support brands and products that I know my readers will love as well. All opinions are 100% my own.
Dear Mama friends,
In the past when I would hear the word “organic” a fear would run through my mind. Some of the fear of the word was not understanding what the term organic really meant and most of my fear was associating the term with expensive and unattainable products and food that my family couldn’t afford or wouldn’t adjust to. I don’t think I really thought of the reasons why I should be choosing organic things because the idea had never circulated through my childhood or my family as I was growing up and honestly – it seemed like something that environmentally conscious people did and not people like me.
But who were people like me? Moms. Millennials. People. That’s who they were. Realizing that I knew NOTHING about the subject of organic products and brands and why I needed to incorporate them into our home and lifestyle, I decided to do some research. Now, I am not going to try and force my belief or opinion on anyone through this post but will share this: Organic choices are easy to make, don’t necessarily have to cost any more than your current products or good you are using and truly must be used to help promote a positive way to sustain our environment for not only us and our children but generations after.
So, you want to start using more organic products, services and goods but aren’t sure where to look or even how to make the switch. It’s actually easy and the choices are so simple – you may not even notice. Here are some suggestions I have done that were easy!
Choose some organic produce! It may be the first thing you associate the word organic to – produce and food. Choosing organic food is not only cost efficient and healthy, but it allows for organic farms to continue to be sustainable and allows you to serve your family pesticide-free food. Start out by choosing organic food from the “dirty dozen list” (a list of produce that you should buy organic because they are considered to have pesticide contamination residue).

Walk and Bike More! We all know that driving your car puts out lots of carbon emissions and lets face it – that cross country trip to see Grandma needs to be driven. But when you can, choose to walk or bike more! It’s healthy, relaxing and helps reduce emission production.
Buy Organic Cotton! This is a MUST. Being from Mississippi, cotton is so prevalent that is looks almost like snow in some of our delta areas where the farming is the most prevalent. Buying organic cotton supports an industry that uses less water than convention cotton, is less harmful to the soil and air, and isn’t steeped in chemicals. I recently stumbled upon the PACT Organic brand of clothing and I am obsessed with it! In my quest to try more organic cotton brands, PACT comes through as the best of the best. They promote the organic cotton business and try to be environmentally conscious while producing value based products. Through the Moms Meet program, I was able to sample the women’s Long Leggings, Racerback bra, work socks, cotton brief undies, shelf cami and long sleeve hoodie.
These felt amazing and were even better after washed a few times which seemed to soften the cotton even more than when I first received it. I couldn’t believe that these were available in such a great price range – (items between $20-$50) and I have run in them, cleaned my house in them and chased the kids around in them – they are STILL just as comfortable and fit amazing like they did Day 1. My husband got to sample some of the men’s products and he loved everything that he tried. As a former MiLB baseball player, he likes for his workout clothes to breathe and fit well when he works out and he couldn’t recommend the PACT Organic brand any higher. Best of all, wearing PACT made me feel good because I knew I was representing and supporting a brand that believes in its products, its people and the future. If you would like to check out PACT Organic you can find them HERE. You can also use my promo code LouTimesTwo25 to receive 25% off your entire order!
Making the jump to organic brands and products is really simple and will make a difference in the long run! Let me know your thoughts and leave me a comment. Cheers!
